BSL Champion (£25 per hour)
Location: Availability to film at a location in Leicestershire TBC / Home-based if you have filming equipment of sufficient quality
Hours: 1 or 2 filming days per month
Do you have a passion to promote BSL? Do you want to help us film content to help people learn BSL? We’re looking for someone proficient in BSL with experience of involvement with the Deaf community. Commanding Hands is free for everyone, therefore we have limited financial resources available however this role is paid at £25 per hour with 1 filming day per month expected to last at least 4 hours. As our brand grows, we anticipate we will be able to pay higher rates in future with our existing BSL Champions offered first refusal to participate in filming days.

Person specification
You need to have experience of BSL and the Deaf community and be over 18 years old.

Facebook Community Moderator (voluntary role)
Location: Nationwide
To support BSL students on their learning journey by helping to ensure our Facebook learner’s support group is a safe space.
What you’ll do
Remove unwanted posts and revoke membership if necessary.
Issue warnings to members who do not follow the rules.
Answer questions using your knowledge and experience of BSL and the Deaf community.
Help to create a supportive forum for members to ask questions and share experiences.
Encourage engagement by creating interesting posts.
