Our YouTube channel just reached a huge milestone of 10,000 subscribers. I would like to thank everyone who has liked, shared, watched or followed any of our social media pages.
The content we’re putting out has had great feedback so far and it means so much to us; thank you.
There’s improvements to be made. We want to produce better video content with different signers. We want to make our video production quality better. That said, we’re pleased with the content so far and it’s great to see that we are helping people on their sign language journeys.
Reaching 10k YouTube subscribers is fantastic, but there’s one person who helped us reach this target that is no longer with us. Melanie Morris was a huge part of our original setup from February 2012 to early 2013 when Commanding Hands went on hiatus. She led classroom BSL lessons, helped with events and produced some memorable YouTube videos. Melanie unfortunately passed away on 25th April 2019 and the one year anniversary of her death was difficult. She was so passionate about promoting BSL and I’ve no doubt that she would have been a huge part of our relaunch this year.
Melanie was a kind, loving and helpful person. She will never be forgotten.
