New online BSL course
Today, we’ve launched the first section of our BSL online course. The topics covered include general information about BSL, deaf awareness tips, how to sign the alphabet and numbers. The next section focuses on core vocabulary, which launches next month in March 2025. If you have any feedback on the course, please do get in touch!

Keep an eye on our social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) as we’re releasing three new videos a week. A general vocabulary receptive quiz every Monday, a vocabulary builder every Wednesday and our fingerspelling receptive quiz every Friday.
An update from Dan
Your continued support by commenting, liking, sharing and generally interacting with our content is so appreciated. One of my aims is to get better at replying to messages and comments.
In the last update I wrote back in June 2024, I mentioned that I would be getting hearing aids for both ears. I’ve been using them for around six months now and it’s made me realise how much my hearing has dropped. They are proving very useful in the office. At home however, we use BSL or a blend of BSL and English (three of my immediate family are Deaf and my wife is hard of hearing). I would encourage anyone struggling with their hearing to book in with the GP for a hearing test as I know not everyone is lucky enough to use BSL (yet).
